The 1st@USD Summer Seminar brings together a diverse team of faculty from across the university, with expertise spanning the arts and humanities, business, social sciences, engineering, natural sciences, nursing and more. It's designed to introduce students to the interdisciplinary nature of USD's liberal arts education.

1st@USD Summer Seminar

The five-week seminar is taught online in July and August. It includes one weekly meeting of the entire class, plus smaller discussion sections that provide students with opportunities to interact directly with each other and their instructors and to engage deeply with a complex contemporary issue using an integrative approach.

Incoming first-year students who have confirmed their enrollment for the fall semester may register for this class through the invitation sent by admissions@sandiego.edu at the beginning of June.
